Party time at Breage

Almost since the day it opened, Breage House has had an enviable reputation for a home where fun is very high on the agenda. Christmas 2009 proved no different, with residents, staff and families sharing in the festivities. At Breage we had a day of celebrations on the run in to the big day. One notable event was 19th december. During the day the residents and families joined forces to host a Christmas fair, with several stalls and a wide range of offerings. As the day progressed very ably assisted by Penzance Sea Cadets under the leadership of Matt Bird, those participating raised around £150, which they chose to use to purchase additional leisure activities from external providers. By early evening, thoughts had moved on to the evening’s bash. Live band The Elementary Penguins entertained the large crowd in the packed West Wing. As the night went on (as the photo’s show) everyone danced to the Christmas tunes and tucked into the wonderful buffet and bar laid on by Steve and his team.
