Ponsandane also welcomes a regular stream of visitors into the home including community groups and clubs and often hosts events and functions.
Food & Nutrition
Our Head Chef Bev Rangeley and her team provide a varied menu sourced from local ingredients wherever possible. All meals are freshly prepared and cooked with a choice of courses. Bev is a keen advocate for good nutrition and makes every effort to ensure all our residents have a balanced, nutritious, and varied diet.
Our aim is to look after you and your individual care needs to ensure you receive the very best care possible. Care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we work with you to develop a comprehensive care plan based on your needs, which is assessed with you, on an ongoing basis.
Ponsandane provides a day care service at the home. The home opens their doors to a maximum of 6 people each day for a small fee, providing them with lunch and activities. Other services such as a bath, shower or hair cut can be provided at an additional cost.

“I am passionate about the care we provide at Ponsandane. Our residents and their families are the focus of our home, we are a family and it is my privilege to come into the home of our residents every day to do the job I love. I also have the pleasure of working with the most amazing team here at the home, they really do have the residents’ best interests at the heart of everything they do. I am lucky to be part of the Ponsandane family.” .
It was so reassuring to know that I’d left Mum with you, in such capable and friendly hands.Liz
The service was caring. People told us staff were kind to them. Staff spoke about the people they supported with affection. Staff were aware of what was important to people and helped them to achieve this.
