Lynn qualified as a mental health nurse in May 2010 after working as a support worker for a period of time. Since qualifying she has worked in complex elder care services both in the community and in ward settings, where she gained her knowledge of physical nursing. Lynn’s speciality is in dementia care which includes mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and supporting those with behaviours that challenge. Her ethos is upholding people’s rights, dignity and compassion.
Tracy Cameron Louis-Smith
Manager Designate, The Poldhu
Tracy has been a Nurse for almost 37 years. She has worked in NHS, community and education in the care sector for the last 20 years , in a variety of roles from Nurse to Clinical Lead to Manager. Tracy is looking forward to managing the team at Poldhu and leading the home to an outstanding rating in the coming year.
Deputy Head of Care, The Poldhu
Denise started her career at Swallowcourt in 2016 before progressing to Deputy Head of Care in February 2018. She has a particular interest in auditing the processes within the home which helps to achieve the best possible standards.
Sharon joined the team in Poldhu working as an Administrator in April 2018 after relocating from the North West with her family. She has worked in various Administration posts throughout her career including Recruitment Officer, HR Admin, Payroll Admin and Training Administration.
Head of Care, Ponsandane
Julie qualified as Nurse in the early 80s and started work in hospitals on wards including Elderly Care, general ICU and Stroke Unit. She later moved into the private sector and started her career in care home management in 2010. After managing a variety of services, in 2015 she relocated to Cornwall and became the Manager at Ponsandane.
Deputy Head of Care, Ponsandane
Scott joined the team at Ponsandane in May 2017 as Deputy Head of Care. He was a care assistant for 12 years before qualifying as a mental health nurse and moving to Cornwall in 2007. Scott is a big believer in promoting people’s human rights and in ensuring our residents are treated in a dignified, respectful way.
Abby started as Administrator at Ponsandane in March 2017 after spending 6 years as an Accounts Administrator in the Care Industry and 9.5 years as a Medical Receptionist at a Doctors surgery. She has an NVQ2 in Business Administration.
Head of Care, Trevaylor Manor
Jenna has been a nurse at Trevaylor Manor since 2006, being promoted to Deputy Head of Care in Dec 2014 and Head of Care in 2015. Her experience lies with Dementia and elder care, especially end of life care. Jenna always has an open door approach to problem solving and effective communication within the service.
Unit Manager, Trevaylor Manor
Tom has been a nurse in both the general and mental health fields for 25 years and has worked for Swallowcourt since 2005. He has a passion for dementia care and on the unit he strives to provide a warm, friendly environment which is also stimulating. Tom’s aim is to provide a service which is tailored to the individual needs and preferences of those in our care and their loved ones.
Deputy Head of Care, Trevaylor
Carolyn has been a RMN for 30 years and joined Swallowcourt in 2010 as a Nurse before being promoted to Deputy Head of Care. She has a particular interest in dementia care and mental health issues relating to the elderly, managing difficult behaviours and promoting effective communication.
Administrator, Trevaylor Manor
Debbie re-joined the Team at Trevaylor Manor in November 2014 as Administrator, after an earlier period working at the home. Her main responsibilities are checking and submitting hours to ensure staff are paid correctly, keeping residents’ accounts up to date and sending statements. Debbie also provides administrative support to the Head of Care, Deputy and the Unit Manager.
Registered Manager, Station Villa & Cross Keys
Susan started her career in Health and Social Care in 2008 as a Support Worker for Adults with Complex Learning Disabilities. Since then she has gained experience as a Service Manager for Supported Living Services, an Area Manager for Care in the Community and as a Registered Locality Manager for Multiple Supported Living Services across Cornwall. Susan joined Swallowcourt in April 2018 as the Registered Manger for Station Villa and Cross Keys from July 2018.
Deputy Manager, Station Villa
Sarah joined Swallowcourt in 2007 as a Bank Worker progressing to Senior Support Worker and more recently Deputy Manager. She has learnt many skills in her time at Station Villa which allows her and her team to support our resident to fulfil their lives with as much enjoyment as possible. Sarah is passionate about promoting independent living skills to our residents and giving them the tools to learn and progress.

Barbara joined Swallowcourt in 2015 and was a Senior Carer at Cross Keys before being promoted to Deputy Manager in July 2018.
Registered Manager, Breage House
Phaedra has worked across all of our Specialist Care homes during her career at Swallowcourt before becoming The Registered Manager of Breage House in 2017.

Tommy has worked for Swallowcourt since 2012 in both the Elder Care and Specialist homes. He has acquired many skills within this time that he now utilises and implements within his current role as Deputy Manager at Breage House. Tommy is a strong believer that working closely with both the individuals we support, and our staff, opens new opportunities for a future we can all explore together with endless possibilities.
Administrator, Specialist Services
Alison been an Administrator for many years in the Sand & Aggregate industry in Hampshire. She relocated to Cornwall and started her role with Swallowcourt at Breage House in January 2018. Alison loves working alongside the team to support our residents.
Anita joined Swallowcourt in 2003 as a Health Care Assistant and then progressed to Senior Carer. She qualified as an NVQ Assessor in 2005 and Manual Handling Trainer in 2006 before successfully completing the ‘Train the Trainer’ qualification and qualifying as a Professional Trainer in 2007. She is also the Lead Trainer for Manual Handling and is passionate about providing high quality training to enable and support staff to provide the highest possible quality of care.
Pandora (Pan) Sargent
Pan worked with adults with learning disabilities for 6 years before becoming an assessor for health and social care diplomas for 2 years. She joined the training team in June and is really enjoying working with the organisation.
Linsey joined us with a wealth of experience in various roles including Custody Officer and Drug & Alcohol Interventions for West Midlands Police. In 2011 she had the opportunity to move to Cornwall and since then has worked in Nursing/Residential Homes and in the community. Linsey worked her way to Team Leader and then Care Manager before becoming a Health & Social Care Assessor covering all of Cornwall.
Service Delivery Manager
Brian joined Swallowcourt in April 2013 as Service Delivery Manager having previously been in post as Director of Operations of a nationwide charity helping people with disabilities lead independent lives. He works closely with the Management Team to ensure the company can deliver great outcomes for people and the meet the requirements of our regulator and other stakeholders.

Jon heads the operational team and is also responsible for the management and quality of our Elder Care Services. He has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals in a care environment. Jon believes that working closely with the individual, their families and professionals is essential to ensure that we deliver the best outcomes for those we support.
Head of Quality, Compliance & Specialist Care
Leah has worked in social care for over 20 years and is experienced in the management and leadership of nursing and residential care supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism and profound physical disabilities. Passionate about delivering the highest possible standard of person centred care and support, it is Leah’s profound belief that with the right level of support, individuals can overcome the challenges they face to achieve their goals and aspirations.
David Bullen BA (Hons) FCA
Head of Finance
Dave is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience and overall responsibility for the financial function of the Group. He joined Swallowcourt in 2015 after working exclusively in Practice, most recently for a top 25 UK firm. Whilst in that position Dave undertook senior roles within Accounts, Audit and most recently the Corporate Finance function where he assisted many businesses across many different sectors to grow and achieve their goals.
Estates and Contract Manager
Mike originally joined Swallowcourt in 2010, as part of our Accounts Department. he is now responsible for purchasing, contracts and working closely with our Maintenance Team to ensure our Care Homes are safe and great places to live for our residents.
Liz joined Swallowcourt as Head Office Administrator in April 2015 and is now the Management Accountant for the business and thoroughly enjoy the challenges and variation that her role brings. Liz’s main responsibilities include; producing monthly Management accounts, preparing all monthly payroll reports, supervising the purchase ledger and providing support and guidance to all Home Administrators
Accounts Assistant - Sales Ledger
Laura began her career with Swallowcourt in 2013, as Head Office Administrator, providing assistance to the Head Office team. She has now progressed to Accounts Assistant responsible for the maintenance of the Sales Ledger including producing invoices and receiving payments.
Purchase Ledger Clerk
Elaine joined Swallowcourt in 2018 as Purchase Ledger Clerk with a long history of accounting experience and the AAT Diploma. The role involves the control of the purchase ledger, credit analyses, petty cash and the ordering of consumables.
Jamie Harrison Assoc CIPD
Head of HR
Jamie joined Swallowcourt in 2004 as a Care Assistant and since then has experienced many and varied roles within the organisation over the years before taking up his current role as Head of HR. Jamie feels that this has enabled him to develop a detailed understanding of the services we provide. He works closely with all of our home managers to support our great teams here at Swallowcourt. All are committed to providing the very best quality of care and support.
Vanessa joined Swallowcourt’s Training department in 2016 and has since progressed into HR administration, where she can retain her passion for employee training and development whilst being able to support the HR Manager in all aspects of Human Resources. Her responsibilities include recruitment and retention as well as preparing and analysing various reports. Vanessa’s belief is that our employees are our most valuable asset and are fundamental to business growth and development.
Lorna joined Swallowcourt in October 2015 into the newly created role of Rota Manager. She is responsible for managing the rotas for all of our Care Homes working alongside our Heads of Care. Lorna’s previous experience includes rota management for Cornwall’s out of hours GP Service
Paul deals with rotas, timesheets and annual leave to work towards the outcome of improving the lives and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring that the required staffing levels are maintained.
Gemma Elloway ACMA CGMA MAAT
Gemma joined Swallowcourt in 2008 as Sales Ledger Assistant and over several years progressed through the Accounts Department to become Financial Controller. In 2016 Gemma qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant before taking up the position of Commercial Manager in 2018.
